From bottle-feeding baby monkeys in Bolivia to building houses for local underpriviledged families, Tana has an adventurous spirit and a passion for making a difference. She has taught sustainable living workshops, volunteered with numerous animal rescue organizations and raised over $8,300 as a 3-time walker for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
Seeking empowerment over her own less-than-ideal childhood, Tana developed an unquenchable fascination with self-development and psychology of the mind. She holds certifications in hypnosis and N.L.P. and is currently pursuing coach certification with the International Coaching Federation through Coachville.com
Her passion is in awakening others to see the greatness in themselves while helping them to play bigger and bolder in their lives. She has coached the Landmark Self Expression and Leadership program and currently leads a thriving women’s group that empowers women to lead lives by their own design.
At the age of 36, Tana dismantled her life into a 6×6 storage locker to go backpacking solo around South America for a year. Despite numerous attempts by her mother to deter her, she followed her passion into the heart of the jungle, volunteering and inspiring others to follow their own dreams by bringing her adventures to life through her vivid pictures and blog entries.
Somewhere between here and the South Hemisphere, she discovered what she always suspected – that life was not meant to be lived within 4 walls, but full out, with freedom, self-expression and purpose.
The same tenacity, authenticity and keen intuition that lead her around the world as a solo backpacker are the gifts she brings to her coaching practice- helping people discover and uncover their greatest passions so they can live powerfully and on-purpose!
